10+ places to travel for your bachelor or bachelorette party
Top destinations include Prague, Paris and Lisbon, according to one study.
Happy Monday, everybody! If you haven’t noticed, this is the year for weddings, bridal showers and bachelors/bachelorettes that have been postponed since 2020. I just had a friend’s baby shower yesterday and I’m headed to a wedding in Greece next week that I’m very excited about.
Whether you call it a bachelor or bachelorette party (or a stag- or hen-do), it’s just another reason to spend time making memories with your friends at the end of the day. If you or someone you know is getting married and in the pre-party planning process, you need to read this. And if you’re American I’m sure you’re probably looking for any excuse to get out of the country right now so this is your sign to plan that group trip. Celebrating life is a mindset, anyway.
At the moment, 97% of bachelor and bachelorette parties are overnight events or even last for multiple days. Thinking about heading to Europe, Canada or Asia for yours? OLBG has revealed the best cities (and countries) for bachelor and bachelorette parties here.Â
Although I think we’re missing Mexico and maybe the Caribbean, this list makes me want to get married just so I can plan a party overseas. JK — no wedding needed.

Another fun fact revealed in the study:
In the overall list of bachelorette party destinations, Miami is ranked 13th! The city is also ranked 4th for spas and 8th for nightlife. If you don't want to cross the Atlantic Ocean for your bachelorette party, the Magic City is a fun domestic option. Then there's Honolulu which comes in at number 4 on the spa ranking list. I’ve been once and I wasn’t a huge fan. It actually reminded me a lot of South Beach so take that info with a grain of salt if you’re having a hard time choosing between one or the other.
Tell me where you’re going or where you’d go for your pre-wedding party with friends! I planned a really memorable bachelorette for a friend in Palm Springs, CA a few years back. I’ve also been on girls’ trips to Prague and Barcelona; I think both are perfect choices. Otherwise, I might venture out to Valle de Guadalupe for wine tasting and some R&R in Mexico.
