Relish in specialty coffee, fine art & aquavit in Oslo
The chicness of this Scandinavian city is just one reason to visit again and again.
It was a lovely long holiday weekend and I’m back! Grateful and thankful for all of you who have chosen to trust my travel recommendations near and far; it warms my winter heart. Moving right along — I conducted a couple polls on Instagram last week and between Hong Kong, California, Mexico, and somewhere in Europe you chose somewhere in Europe so here we are! Spoiler alert: I’ll be writing about all of these places eventually as they each hold a special little place in my heart.
But today it’s all about Oslo, land of coffee beans and aquavit, tall men in tailored suits and amazing… sushi?! Yup, you read that right. Sushi so good Jay-Z and Beyoncé take it to go on the plane with them.
I had the privilege of visiting Norway in 2018 on an all expenses paid trip organized by a friend/fellow travel writer. And thank goodness for that because Scandinavia is expensive — even for those of us who are used to LA/NY/Miami prices. I (really, truly) have talked about this trip numerous times since then and can’t wait to go back.
