We're Launching a Podcast!

With a decade each of journalism under our belts, we're bringing you some new conversations about food, travel and culture.

Coming to you on this Monday morning with some really exciting new news!

My friend Omar and I have been working hard on launching a podcast (and yes, it’s also called Eat Drink Sleep Repeat)! We want to hear our friends’ perspectives on all things travel with an emphasis on food and culture and thought it would be so cool to share it here first.

Omar Lewis is an award-winning producer and reporter with a decade of experience working in TV. He’s originally from Atlanta, Georgia and bounced around from Miami to Seattle as a TV news anchor and reporter before calling LaLa Land home. He loves traveling and balling on a budget, which is how he ended up on the Game Show Network (pictured below) a couple months after moving to LA. Whether it’s figuring out a way to pay less for hotel stays, or snagging $200 round trip tickets to Hawaii, Omar loves exploring without breaking the bank. He’s owned a 5-star rated Airbnb property in Seattle, and is currently on the hunt for a home in Southern California.

And as you may or may not know I—Allison—am kind of from all over! I grew up in South Florida and have lived in Savannah, Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles over the years. No awards here (yet, lol), but I’ve been writing about place, travel, food and culture for publications like The Daily Beast, Travel + Leisure, Lonely Planet, and Thrillist for about a decade, as well.

Some topics you can expect to hear about on the pod: Travel bugs! Travel romances! Spirits we love (drinks, not ghosts)! Solo travel as a woman abroad. Solo travel as a person of color.
