Where Are You Headed in 2024?
Jenn Rice rounded up some journalist faves (including mine) in her latest newsletters
Yes, I’ve got lots to catch up on and no, you probably won’t get a newsletter a week this year from me. That is just my prediction, but also my professional opinion (hehe). In 2024, we are prioritizing rest, friendship, getting paid, and of course travel. Everything else is great, but I won’t be sweating it. So when (my internet friend and fellow Substacker)
reached out about some newsletters she wanted to produce with the help of other journalists, I was all in. In her words:“One of my last newsletters of 2023 is about a topic in tandem with a few of my fellow creative friends with newsletters: where we, without force or pressure, divulge some of our favorite places we’ve been to. No SEO, no affiliate marketing, just 17 places and regions that have touched us along the way.”
My contributions to this one include Los Alamos, California and Big Sur, the most magical of places. I love them deeply and have been lucky enough to experience both on various occasions when I lived in LA full-time and after I moved away. Read the story, which includes everything from the French Alps to Udaipur, India, here:
I contributed to another story Jenn curated on the coolest hotels, inns and—VERY IMPORTANT—the most comfortable hotel beds from Tokyo to Amsterdam. A few other journalists shared their favorite Tuscan villas and Mexican Airbnbs and I will say that if I haven’t visited these yet, I’ve already added them to my bucket list. You can read the round-up below:
Where are you headed in 2024? Let us know what you think and please share your favorites. See you tomorrow, possibly next week, or maybe next month. I like to keep you guys on your toes.
